I have been reading about how corduroy pants are back in style. Well, they are a classic and have never gone out of style. I was at J.C. Penney the other day and found these high-waisted corduroy pants that I fell in love with and was completely “wrecked.” I have been searching for high-waisted pants and wasn’t expecting to see these beautiful pair of cords staring at me saying “try me on.” The color is called “bronze wave” and they are a.n.a. brand, wide leg corduroys. What do you think of them with the navy checkered shirt? Personally, I think it’s the best combination.I am wearing these cords with a cream-colored blouse. I really think these pants can be worn with many different colors including sage green, brown, black and navy. This is a short post as I have to get back to my homemade chicken noodle soup. My husband has a cold and he said “it’s just what the doctor ordered.” My mom told me there’s something about chicken noodle soup that is “healing.” We need a lot of healing on these cold winter nights. There is a little black dress arriving for me soon for my upcoming weekend getaway and I cannot wait to share it with you. In the meantime, stay warm and enjoy your week.
Hi Dan, thank you for your comment. Mom had a great influence on me when it comes to clothing style and she was always giving me her advice. I miss that so much.
Nice! They look great on you. I love cords, just bought a pair at LL Bean. The outlet store in Concord is a great place to shop for quality clothes at good prices. Enjoying your blog! May start one of my own…”Old Lady Chic,” featuring me in sweatpants and hoodies! Just a thought…
Hi Joanne, thank you for your comment. I haven’t been to the LL Bean outlet store in Concord in a couple of years but that sounds like the perfect place to find a great pair of quality cords and my ears tingled at the “good prices” part–thanks for the tip. And the title of your future blog has a catchy sound to it; sweatpants and hoodies are such classic wardrobe staples. I look forward to your possible upcoming blog.
Thanks, Cecile. Yes, they are very warm, too, and I love the retro look which is coming back in style. Pink sounds like a cool color. Thank you for your comment.
Mom would love your blog. Dan

They look very stylish on you and comfy for a cold night. I loved growing up wearing corduroys. I had many different colors including pink.
