Today was a bit humid but I have layers and can remove the jacket if necessary. These skirts are very versatile and can be worn with or without a jacket. I already had both blouses in my closet for the skirts. I really love the colors in the blue/red skirt and the blue skirt goes well with teal, one of my favorite colors. I love this time of year and want to savor the lingering greenery. It won’t be long before it’s replaced by white snow…

It’s been a while since my last blog post–the summer has been so busy and flew by as it usually does. I hope everyone had a great summer. It’s a tad warm today for this outfit but it wasn’t too bad this morning. I love the colors in this skirt combined with the lightweight green utility jacket. The skirt is by Talbots and is all cotton–it’s very cool and comfortable and can be dressed up or down. What a beautiful day and I hope everyone is getting to enjoy it.

Hi! Today’s post features a lot of color, in particular summer colors. I am featuring all of my favorite colors: aqua, teal blue, navy, lime green and pink (all of which is in my skirt). This skirt is very comfortable with an elastic waistband and a small kick pleat in the back. It is also very lightweight. I am wearing a very comfortable top that is both casual and cool. The sleeves roll up to 3/4 length (it is a Columbia camp shirt). The teal colored flip flops also give the outfit a casual feel. The flip flips are by Sanuk and they have a yoga mat cushioned insole–very comfy! Anyway, I hope you like my post today.

This my wonderful mom–she is 97 years young. She has been a constant source of emotional and spiritual support. She is a remarkable person of great faith, personal integrity, and keen intellect. In her prime, she was extremely industrious and possessed many talents that included cooking, sewing, gardening, canning, crocheting and even cabinet making. If there was a will, there was always a way with ingenuity and some elbow grease. I love my mom.
