“The Robin is the One
That interrupt the Morn
With hurried — few — express Reports
When March is scarcely on —
The Robin is the One
That overflow the Noon
With her cherubic quantity —
An April but begun —
The Robin is the One
That speechless from her Nest
Submit that Home — and Certainty
And Sanctity, are best” (Emily Dickinson)
Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone survived the full-moon week we recently had which was our last super moon for 2019, the worm moon. You may wonder why it’s called the worm moon, and this article (the meaning of the worm moon) provides insight as to why it’s given this rather strange name. But it makes sense that it refers to when the “ground begins to thaw and earthworms reappear, soon followed by the return of robins.” And robins make me think of the color red.
Red is a warm color that evokes strong emotions. This color is associated with love, warmth, and comfort. It can be intense, or even angry; this color can create feelings of energy, excitement, and passion. But the red I am referring to is the red in my wardrobe and in my house. I am drawn to the color red even though my favorite colors tend to be varying shades of blue and green, the colors of the ocean. Your favorite color says a lot about you and according to this article (favorite color personality), “red is often the color chosen by someone outgoing, aggressive, vigorous and impulsive.” While I tend to consider myself to be more of an ambivert rather than an extrovert, I can relate to some of the characteristics of those who love the color red. And I do have red interspersed in my wardrobe and house as depicted below.

This post was supposed to be entitled “The Spring Super Moon,” but as life would have it, I was not feeling well and my husband drove out to the countryside in search of the full moon without me. He captured these photos with his phone which I thought came out really well.
I LOVE this old barn.
The shadow people have finally come to take me. Can you see the two kitties in this picture?
There’s no place like home.

Welcome, March.

Hi Everyone, it seems that the lion of winter has sunk his teeth in and wants to hang on in spite of the fact that we are in the month when SPRING officially starts. Winter lingering is not a bad thing as it helps prolong the ski season which not only boosts the economy but helps to boost our mood due to more vitamin D exposure (and many other benefits listed here:
I am wearing the skirt with a couple of different tops. I find this denim jacket to be so versatile and can be dressed up or down. The darker the denim, the dressier it looks I think.
Here is the real lion but he doesn’t bite. I want to introduce you to my wonderful kitty named Ishi. He was named after the “last known member of the Native American Yahi people from the present-day state of California in the United States.” My husband and older son learned about Ishi in a bow-hunting class and decided that was going to be this furry guy’s name. He has the loudest purr I have ever heard in a cat (as opposed to a human) and he really locks eyes with you. Check out his gaze in my first picture.

My husband took this picture when we stayed at the Brewster Inn last weekend. I love the reflection of the lamp in the window.

Hi Everyone, today’s post has to do with the supermoon that occurred on February 19, 2019. According to

This picture was taken on February 22, 2019, and the moon was just beginning to wane.

Meet Aubrey. Yes, she’s cute. And her fur on my clothes is extra cute but I don’t care. I have four pets in my household which consists of three cats and one yellow lab. I am one cat over my “limit” which is the kitty you see here. But who could resist a face like hers, not to mention whiskers!
I love this long denim jacket and plan to wear it A LOT this coming spring (which will be precisely 6 weeks from February 2 per Punxsutawney Phil, right Phil???). I like the long, clean lines of the coat and its versatility.
The moto jacket can be dressed up or down.
Here are a few more pics from the summer and early fall:
